Honestly, I have no idea why this is the working production title for Strange New Worlds (maybe just to keep fangirls like [younger] me from hanging around locations), but season 4 has been shooting right outside my living room window, and all around the immediate neighbourhood, for the past week and a bit.

Some of the interiors are being shot in the office building immediately across the road (probably because there's lot of empty space available). I think the little indie coffee shop on the first floor must be doing fantastic business, judging from all the crew members who are coming and going.

Now if only some finished SNW would turn up on my TV screen soon!

It is! SNW is mostly shot on the soundstage way out in Mississauga (far western suburb), but they did a fair amount of downtown location shooting in "Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow."

Starfleet Academy is in production here too. Even though it's early in the season, a reasonable number of projects are already underway. But who knows what effect the current cross-border political situation may have?

All in all, I'm glad to be observing the industry from the outside these days.

Anson Mount pledged on BlueSky a week ago that he'd announce when there's a premier date for season three but there's been nothing yet.

May it be soon! Despite that ridiculous teaser-trailer that came out last year, I'm still looking forward to the season. (I hope my hope is justified.)
