Head start on the weekend
Feb. 20th, 2009 09:44 amLogged a vacation day today, in the hope of catching up on both non-fannish and non-work-related writing. We'll see how that goes.
People have been engaging in the traditional Shatner-bashing on one of my non-fannish lists. It seems as if the default knee-jerk position is "Ooh, Shatner was SUCH a bad actor in Trek, what a tool," which I debated debating them about. In the end, I decided not to bother. I'm trying hard to keep my RL and fannish identities well separated, something I haven't taken the trouble to do in the past. Now, however, the climate at work is substantially different from what it was a few years ago, and I'm thinking it's a good idea to keep a low profile.
Time to get busy. I have to transcribe an interview I recorded way back in December and try to turn it into something suitable (read: interesting enough) for publication. I'm wishing myself good luck with that.
